Alumina single crystal ,ia also called sapphire .Sapphire crystal has outstanding optical property, high Mechanical Strength
and good chemical stability,and even can work under 2000 ℃ high temperature,which is widely used on military device，
satellite communication, space communication,window of high strength laser and Substrate of ＧａＮ light emitting diode.
Methods of growing sapphire crystal are mainly Bridgman Method,Cz,Ky,and Ky is the most commonly used method.
The method has more advantages than others,it can produce big sapphire ingots,but it also generates more defects if purity
of alumina is not high like more dislocations,more bubbles,wrappings,and crevice. These defects can absorb,reflect or
transmit energy of voice, light, electrici-ty, magnetic ,which will affect quality of sapphire ingots and proprety of LED
Now,main technology of producing high purity aluminum oxide are Crystallization method ,water-soluble method,flame fusion
method,Hydrolysis of Aluminum Alkoxide method.Practise proves only Hydrolysis of Aluminum Alkoxide method can grow
high quality sapphirecrystal with low dislocations,less bubbles,non- wrappings,non-crevice.
In China,the factory with the most comprehensive strength and the largest production capacity is xuan cheng jing rui new
material co.,ltd,they modify Hydrolysis of Aluminum Alkoxide method on the basis of Sumitomo's method,Japan.They
use nano ceramic membrane to seperate impurities,which has applied for a patent.Except the method,others can't produce
high quality alumina,can't grow high quality sapphire.
